Jari Love: Body Rock! Best Review
So I decided to wait until I've done this a few times to give my opinion. First time, I almost turned it off, I am not into "dancey" workouts and honestly have no rhythm whatsoever. But after giving it a couple of tries in the past few weeks, I am sold.
Jari's hi/low will really make you work if you do the advanced versions of the moves. And although I love GER 1000, I like that these cardio intervals are a little shorter. Angie, the dance instructor, is adorable- and I have actually discovered that I just may not hate dance! What you put into it is what you get out of it. I add jumps onto the grapevines, make the kicks a little bigger, and just let myself get into it- you CAN keep your heart rate up if you make that effort.
The weights/abs section is excellent as well- The chest track goes on forever, and by the time you do those few tricep pushups at the end of it, you KNOW you got a good chest workout. My legs were on fire after the wide squat track, so many pulses. I also found this to be one of her better ab workouts- Jari has never done much ab work on her videos, but this one had some variety to it. My only complaint would be that I would like a longer stretch at the end, she doesn't even touch the quads in it.
It's important to add variety into your workouts, and that is what Jari is doing with this one. It's not like anything else she has done, and that's okay with me. This one has earned it's place in my rotation. I say give it more than one chance, you just might love it.

Love! Jari Love-this video I just like - gabby - los angeles
I have all of Jari Love's workout videos. She is awesome and truly wants to help you achieve your goals. Most of her stuff focuses on lifting weights, or lifting your own body weight while holding weights. Her Get Ripped 1000(red outfit on the cover) was where she added cardio to her workouts. That is a great video. Then she did the first Extremely Ripped 1000 (green outfit on cover), which is a series of weights and hi intensity intervals made to work everything. That one is a calorie burner for sure...love it and probably my favorite of all my videos.
This video (Body Rock) I think is her answer to the current popularity of "dance workouts". She has a separate "trainer" doing small interval dance moves swtiching off to her and her team doing the cardio invtervals. Then the last 1/2 is weights and floor work. I think the dance part is ok...i enjoy it for the laugh (at myself), but i don't really feel like i am getting a work out doing that section. The cardio and weight sections are what make me sweat. It does have a nice variety and the time passes quickly. It's a nice break from the hard core calorie burning videos - but i think if you are advanced, you might want to go with the EXTREMELY RIPPED 1000 (green and yellow cover) and don't do any modifiers. Great new workout video from Jari Love. I have all of her videos and they just keep getting better and more intense with each one! A real plus for someone who doesn't have time to go to a gym and can workout in the comforts of your own home!

Jari is the instructor that I LOVE to hate. I may have written that somewhere, before, excuse me if I am repeating myself. this workout is a different one for Jari and I like the change. I don't have a "hate" for Jari during this workout and that is a nice change for Jari.
